Zinn Hub® vs Fiverr: fees, payouts and buyer protection compared
Zinn Hub® against Fiverr on seller commission, buyer fees, payout speed and methods, buyer protection and how each marketplace works — every figure sourced and dated.
How it works
Both are marketplaces of ready-made, fixed-price services: a seller lists a service with packages, a buyer orders it, and the platform holds the payment until the work is delivered and accepted. Zinn Hub® calls its services Zinn®s and adds Micro Zinn®s — small fixed-price services from $5 — and a projects board where freelancers bid on work a buyer posts.
| Fiverr | Zinn Hub® | |
|---|---|---|
| Seller fee | 20% of every order, including extras and tips[1] | 0% on your first $500 of sales, then 20% falling in steps to 8% as your lifetime sales grow; a flat 8% on Pro ($25/month) or 7% on Agency ($50/month)[2] |
| Buyer fee | 5.5% service fee on every payment, plus $3.50 on orders under $200[3] | None — the listed price is the price at checkout[4] |
| When sellers are paid | 14 days after the order completes (7 days for Seller Plus, Top Rated and Pro freelancers); orders auto-complete 3 days after delivery[5] | Instant into your own connected Stripe or PayPal account; otherwise paid automatically every Friday once completed earnings reach $50[6] |
| Payout methods | PayPal (no fee), bank transfer via Payoneer ($1) or a Payoneer account ($3); up to $5,000 per withdrawal[7] | Your own Stripe or PayPal, or payouts to PayPal, USDT/USDC, UK, SEPA or US bank, Payoneer or your Zinn® Wallet[6] |
| Buyer protection | A cancelled order is credited to your Fiverr balance; a refund to your card or PayPal has to be requested and can take up to 10 days[8] | Payment is held until you accept the delivery (auto-accepted 5 days after delivery); staff review disputes; approved refunds are credited to your Zinn® Wallet[6] |
| Minimum order | $5 minimum starting price; some categories set a higher minimum[9] | Micro Zinn®s start from $5[10] |
| How it works | Fixed-price services (Gigs) with packages and add-ons[9] | Fixed-price services (Zinn®s), small Micro Zinn®s and projects that freelancers bid on[10] |

Where Zinn Hub® does better
Fees are where the two differ most. Fiverr takes 20% of every order and adds a 5.5% service fee to the buyer's payment, plus $3.50 on orders under $200. Zinn Hub® takes nothing on a seller's first $500 of sales, then a tiered commission that falls from 20% to 8% as sales grow, and adds no fee to the buyer's price. A Zinn Hub® seller who connects their own Stripe or PayPal is paid at checkout; a Fiverr seller waits 14 days after completion (7 on Fiverr's higher seller levels). Zinn Hub® also accepts payment in USDT and USDC, which Fiverr does not.
Where Fiverr may suit you better
Fiverr is an established, widely known marketplace, so in a niche category you may find more sellers to choose between, and a seller there may reach more buyers. Fiverr also returns a cancelled order to your card or PayPal on request, while Zinn Hub® credits every approved refund to your Zinn® Wallet for use on the platform.
What to check before you switch: Check that the category you need has enough sellers on Zinn Hub®, read the seller's verification badge and past work, and remember that a Zinn Hub® refund is wallet credit rather than money back to your card.
Our verdict
For sellers, Zinn Hub® keeps more of every sale — all of the first $500 — and pays faster. For buyers, the price shown is the price paid. Fiverr's advantage is how established it is.
